Neighborhood Watch is a national program under which neighbors organize to prevent crime in their neighborhood.

Neighborhood Watch increases personal safety and security awareness, strengthens neighborhood ties and provides an opportunity to get to meet and know your neighbors.

SEND ALERTS INFORMATION TO: SCLHWatchAlerts@lincal.net.  Always be alert and aware and don't hesitate to report any suspicious persons or activity to the Lincoln Police.  If you want to talk with the investigating officer, you need to specify that at the time of your phone call.  if you don't ask, the officer will investigate but may not talk with you.  Therefore, you may get the mistaken impression that your call was not answered.

VILLAGE COORDINATOR VACANCIES DOWN TO 6: 8A, 14, 24D, 30A, 30C, and 39 Anyone interested in even adopting a village should contact Larry Wilson, our Executive Director at 408-0667. You need not reside in that village if you have a desire to become a Coordinator. Let's keep the momentum going.

CONGRATULATIONS - ANOTHER NEW COORDINATOR VOLUNTEERS: Richard Dickens has agreed to join Neighborhood Watch by becoming the newest Coordinator for Village 35B.  Welcome aboard!

LAUNCHING NEW VACATION HOME SECURITY CHECKLIST -  Neighborhood Watch has just launched its newest brochure called "Security Tips for a Worry-Free Vacation" that provides recommendations for securing your home while on vacation.  Just click on DOCUMENTS, then scroll down to FORMS, then scroll to NW Vacation Home Security Checklist tab.  We are very pleased to have this available to all residents.  This wonderful brochure will be included in our welcome packets and obviously accessible on our website. 


ADOPT A BOX - Join the Neighborhood Watch Team in its "Adopt a Village/Mail Box Station" efforts and become a valued Village Coordinator or a Mail Box Captain. You need not reside in the village you serve to be a Team Member. We will provide you with training, support and will introduce you to your new Village. If you are interested in serving and would like more information, contact Larry Wilson, Executive Director at 408-0667

Also Mail Box Captains can review CAPTAIN'S WORKBOOK and HOW TO GET STARTED ON NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH for wonderful graphics to help you get started. Contact Neighborhood Watch Secretary Nancy Whitaker at 408-7393 for further information on becoming a Mail Box Captain for your village.


VIAL OF LIFE KITS AND PERSONAL MEDICATION RECORD CARDS - please contact our Vial of Life Program Coordinator, Bobbie Swenson, at 543-6362 for a supply of the wallet-sized Personal Medication Record cards and Vial of Life kits.


NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH WELCOME PACKETS - Available for delivery to new residents by Mail Box Captains. Contact your Village Coordinator or Neighborhood Watch Secretary for a packet.

REMINDER - REMINDER - FREE DIALMYCALLS.COM With recent alerts, please consider using this free service available at www.dialmycalls.com website for Coordinators/Mail Box Captains to forward Alert messages by telephone to your non-computer residents in your village. This website offers a very good Tutorial to walk you through the process. Suggestion: The Coordinator can combine all non-computer residents from the village to forward Alert phone messages instead of Mail Box Captains to a few individuals.
